Westwood Sells Knott Plaza for $1.4 Million

Orange County, Calif. -- Westwood Financial Corp. sold Knott Plaza for $1.4 million to Eva Management of Monterey Park, Calif.

The 30,241-square-foot shopping center is located at the southwest corner of Knott and Crescent Avenues in Buena Park, Calif., west of Knott's Berry Farm in Orange County.  The total site is 132,352 square feet and consists of 14 stores. 

The parties represented themselves as principals in the transaction:  Thomas Hsu for Eva Management and Joe Dykstra for Westwood Financial.

Westwood Financial is continuing to dispose its non-core retail properties and reinvest the equity vis-à-vis 1031 tax deferred exchanged into grocery and drugstore anchored neighborhood shopping centers located throughout the Western U.S.  This sale marks the sixth sale this year for Westwood Financial, with about six more under contract.
